Welcome to the practice of Dr. Kore Nissenson Glied, PhD.  Dr. Glied works with individuals and couples experiencing a wide range of psychological issues, including anxiety, insomnia, depression, panic disorder and obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD).  She has expert training in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT-I) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for Insomnia.

Dr. Glied specializes in CBT and Acceptance ACT. These treatments focus on identifying problems and developing solutions for change.  These interventions have been recognized as among the most effective means of treating a wide variety of psychological issues, including anxiety disorders, depression, and insomnia.

Treatment focuses on teaching skills to get unstuck from negative behaviors like avoidance, rumination, and self-judgment and engaging in more meaningful and important activities and tasks. Therapy includes working towards goals and important areas of life that may be avoided due to painful thoughts and feelings. Strategies include CBT-I techniques for insomnia and sleep issues, communication and assertiveness training, stress management, self confidence building tools, and mindfulness techniques.

Dr. Glied is trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). In DBT, clients are taught coping skills such as mindfulness meditation and emotion regulation techniques to manage mood changes, relationship and interpersonal problems, impulsive urges, and difficulty with concentration and focus.

Dr. Glied provides empirically supported training, supervision, and consultation to individuals and organizations on managing mental health issues. Dr. Glied trains clinicians, mental health providers, and support staff in CBT, ACT, and DBT techniques.
