Welcome to the practice of Dr. Kore Nissenson Glied, PhD.  Dr. Glied works with individuals and couples experiencing a wide range of psychological issues, such as anxiety, insomnia, stress, and depression.  She has expert training in the treatment of psychological problems arising from trauma.

Dr. Glied specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). These treatments focus on identifying problems and developing solutions for change.  These interventions have been recognized as among the most effective means of treating a wide variety of psychological issues, including anxiety, depression, stress, and relationship issues.

Treatment focuses on teaching skills to manage negative thoughts and emotions more effectively. Therapy also includes working towards goals and important areas of life that may be avoided due to painful thoughts and feelings. Strategies may include communication or assertiveness training, stress management, sleep strategies, and mindfulness and relaxation techniques.

Dr. Glied is trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).  In DBT, clients are taught coping skills such as mindfulness meditation and emotion regulation techniques to manage mood changes, relationship and interpersonal problems, impulsive urges, and difficulty with concentration and focus.

Dr. Glied provides empirically supported training, supervision, and consultation to individuals and organizations on managing mental health issues. Dr. Glied trains clinians, mental health providers, and support staff in CBT and ACT techniques.
