How do I make an appointment?
To set up an appointment, please call (646) 450 6337 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
How often do I come to therapy?
Most people attend therapy once a week. The initial session includes a psychiatric evaluation, a description of therapy and time for questions. This evaluation lasts 1 hour. All follow-up sessions are 45 minutes. Skype sessions are also available in certain circumstances.
How long does treatment last?
Therapy generally lasts between six months to a year but length may vary depending on the complexity of the issues with which a client presents.
Do you accept insurance?
I am not an in-network provider on an insurance plan. Most clients use their out-of-network benefits to receive some reimbursement. You are responsible for payment at each visit and you are provided with a receipt to be submitted to your insurance company for reimbursement. Each bill receipt includes the necessary information to submit claims to your insurance company.
How do I find out how much my insurance company will reimburse me for your service?
Please call the telephone number on the back of your insurance card and ask what your out-of-network mental health benefits are. The CPT (procedure) code for the initial 60 minute evaluation is 90791 and the CPT code for the 45 minute follow-up sessions are 90834. Ask if you have a deductible, and if so, how much.
